Friends Of Reed-Custer Elementary Schools

F.O.R.C.E.S.

We are a group of parents dedicated to raising the funds necessary to give the students of Reed Custer Intermediate and Primary Schools the extra activities that otherwise would not be possible, and then implementing those activities. We are actively involved with the teachers and principals and want to help in whatever way we possibly can. Our main goal is to "work together" with parents and teachers to help enrich the lives of the students to become more educated as well as successful.  Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome, needed and valued! If you have a child or children in either of these schools, please join us in accomplishing the goals set forth for our children. You will be proud to be a part of uniting our schools and community!

There are many ways to volunteer. Some of our events/activities include Curriculum Night (RCIS), Open House (RCPS), Scholastic Book Fair, Halloween Fun Fair (RCIS), Teachers' Dinner, Santa's North Pole Adventure, Easter Egg Toss (RCIS), Easter Egg Hunt (RCPS), Family Reading Night (RCPS), Obstacle Course & Health Fair (RCPS), Field Day (RCIS), 5th Grade T-Shirt Signing, Spirit Wear, School Kits and Market Day.  Details about our activities are below:

Spring Fundraiser


We are excited once again to bring you “Flower Power” for our Spring fundraiser! Order forms were collected April 9th, and your orders will be in just in time for Mother’s Day. If you have any questions, please call Hillary Browning @ 815.210.9539 or Kim Motta @ 815.458.2149.

Nominations


Nomination forms will be going out in March. We will have several positions opening up for the 2010/2011 school year, as some of the members will be moving up to the Middle chool. Some of the positions available will be President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. There will also be some Coordinator and Chair positions available as well.  If you would like to know more about the positions available or volunteering, please call Mary Petersen @ 815.458.2782 or Becky Fuller @ 815.458.2176. Changed Meeting Date


Due to conflicting schedules, the FORCES meeting date scheduled for May 12, 2010 has been changed to May 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m… at RCIS.  Please make note of this change.
