Description
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an elite group of students who demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship. Each year, members are selected by RCMS faculty based on these criteria. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to be eligible for membership. NJHS meets every Thursday during 8th grade lunch. Members of NJHS participate in various fund-raising activities for different organizations throughout the year. Some examples include Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and Easter Baskets for the Food Pantry. They also raise money through bake sales, flower sales, and the school store.
