Speech Team
Description
Speech Team is a great Opportunity for anyone who is interested in theater and acting. Students choose up to 3 events from: Humorous or Dramatic Duet Acting, Improvisational Duet Acting, Monologues, Poetry Presentation, Group Acting, Impromptu Speaking, or Storytelling.
Speech members make a commitment to practice on their own daily, and then practice with the coach once a week. We compete in one regional tournament in October or November. This year our IESA State Speech Meet will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mazon Verona Kinsman (MVK).
We also have two fun evenings where we have dinner and learn Improv techniques. These evenings are open to all speech team members, but especially those competing in Improv Duets at contest.
