Mike Klos Director of Bands 815-458-2166 ex. 3217 Mr. Klos grew up in Naperville Illinois and attended Naperville Central High School with future aspirations of becoming a band director. While at NCHS, Mr. Klos was involved with the Fine Arts programs all four years. Upon graduation from NCHS in 2005, Mr. Klos attended Illinois State University in Normal, pursuing a degree in Music Education. At ISU, he performed with many elite ensembles including the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, the Big Red Marching Machine, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band, Madrigal Brass Quintet, Trombone Quartet, and Men's Glee. Mr. Klos was active with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity as the music director, as well as currently with professional organizations including the National Band Association and MENC. Mr. Klos is entering his second year of teaching and his first in Reed-Custer. He was previously the Assistant Band Director and Director of Jazz Ensembles at Benet Academy in Lisle Illinois. He is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with outstanding students in this exceptional school district. Class Schedule

Director of Choirs 815-458-2166 ex. 3217 Mr. Batko grew up in Barrington Illinois where he attended Barrington High School. While in high school, he was an active member of the Band, Choir and Drama departments where his love for the Fine Arts had blossomed. To further his education after high school, Mr. Batko attended college at Millikin University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education. He performed with multiple choral ensembles while at Millikin including Millikin Men, Chamber Chorale and the nationally known Millikin University Choir under the direction of Dr. Brad Holmes. Mr. Batko was also part of many theatrical productions both on stage and behind the scenes at Millikin and the local community theatre. Recently, Mr. Batko has enrolled at Vandercook College of Music where he has begun his Masters degree in Music Education. Mr. Batko is entering his seventh year of teaching and his fifth year at Reed-Custer High School. He is thrilled to have been given the chance to work with such talented students. Class Schedule
