The Homework Hangout at RCMS
Got homework? The Reed-Custer Middle School is now offering after school tutoring Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. Sixth through eighth graders are invited to work on their various homework assignments, get organized, or study for tests. A faculty member is available at all sessions for any needed assistance or guidance. The Hangout is a quiet, distraction free setting for learning or enrichment.
Homework Schedule:
Homework usually takes about 90 minutes. Here is how most students spend those 90 minutes.
15 minutes searching for assignment while reading their text messages.
11 minutes calling a friend for the assignment.
23 minutes explaining why the teacher is mean and just does not like students.
8 minutes in the bathroom.
10 minutes getting a snack.
7 minutes checking and answering emails.
6 minutes telling parents that the teacher never explained the assignment.
10 minutes sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mom or Dad to do the assignment.
