Ricketts_Tim 2021.JPGWelcome to Reed-Custer High School for the 2021-2022 school year. It is always exciting to begin a new school year, giving each student a fresh start and the opportunity to build on past successes. We encourage all students to get off to a good start and get involved in RCHS. We also want parents to be involved in their student's education and in the school community. It is the shared responsibility of parents, staff and students to assure that students learn and grow throughout the educational process.

Our school improvement team and committees are excited to continue to improve in the area of college and career readiness. We want to extend a special thank you to our staff, students and parents for all their teamwork and flexibility last school year, allowing our students to be in school the entire year during a global pandemic.

We are excited that our new RCHS Cafeteria opened last January and look forward to using this new space throughout the 2021-2022 school year. We will also be entering our third year in the Illinois Central Eight (ICE) Conference, after several decades in the I-8 Conference. Good luck to all our teams as they compete for ICE conference and IHSA championships.

In closing, I would like to wish all you the very best for a happy and successful school year. I am proud to be your principal and a part of the great tradition of excellence at Reed-Custer. I encourage each of you to do your best, work hard and bring a positive attitude to school every day so that you can reach your true potential.
