In third grade student begin training with our typing program in hopes that they can, with guidance and support from adults, use technology to produce and publish writing (using keyboarding skills), as well as to interact and collaborate with others.  Keyboarding instruction will take place in a guided classroom setting.  Curriculum will be supported by several interactivities online, and students will begin using Microsoft word to showcase their writing abilities.

The fourth grade curriculum focuses on keyboarding.  Students are encouraged to practice independently both during class and at home.  Each student will have an account that will record their progress.   Students will be able to use technology to produce and publish writing using keyboarding, as well as to interact and collaborate with others.  4th grade curriculum will be supported by several activities, but the main focus of 4th grade is keyboarding.
