Superintendent's Message
My name is Mark Mitchell, and I am entering my 33rd year in public education. I am a senior by simple definition, for I am retiring at the end of this school year. I feel beyond blessed to have worked for Reed-Custer CUSD 255 for the majority of my educational career. This is a very special place! I would like to thank you for visiting our website. Reed-Custer is a PreK-12 School District that proudly accepts the great privilege and responsibility of preparing and motivating all students for future success. We strive to offer academic and extra-curricular opportunities for students of all interests, and we refuse to look in the rearview mirror at past hurdles and difficulties. We understand the importance of proactively looking forward and striving to find ways to improve all that we do – the future begins here! We work collectively as a team to offer the best service possible to students, parents, and the entire Reed-Custer community. Our theme for the upcoming school year will be Fly High, which initiates one universal goal – to attempt to soar at everything we do. I am incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to lead this amazing school District, and I look forward to another year of collaborative teamwork with students, staff, parents, the Board of Education, and all other stakeholders.
